Move over, burgers. Once more, McDonald's is putting a focus on chicken in its menu offerings.
Like Burger King, McDonald's has determined their chicken sandwiches aren't enough to fulfil the public's fried chicken cravings. It's getting help!
Two tempura chicken patties replace the beef in the Big Mac, along with special sauce, American cheese, pickles, shredded lettuce, and sesame bun.
We'll introduce this chicken sandwich in late August. If all goes well, the item may soon be available countrywide.
Not everything we test makes it to our U.S. menus, so we'll use this opportunity to get input from consumers and restaurant employees.
If you want to try it, use this hack: Simply order two McChickens and a Big Mac and replace the beef with chicken. A Chicken Big Mac!
The restaurant released three premium chicken sandwiches in February 2021: a Crispy (fried chicken patty, pickles on a brioche bun), Deluxe, and Spicy.
These three remain on the menu, along with Chicken McNuggets and the McChicken.
But might McDonald's new chicken sandwich end the chicken wars?
Big Mac aficionados may be upset that the sandwich they've loved since 1968 is now a chicken snack. Will see.
